History of Utility Trailers
Way back in 1914, two brothers━E.W. Bennett and H.C. Bennett━moved to Los Angeles after selling their lumber firm in Phoenix. They had used horse-drawn trucks to make deliveries and realized that some better method was needed to transport cargo. They moved to Los Angeles with a mind to build commercial trailers that would have superior construction. Instead, they ended up purchasing a wagon company that had just started going into trailer-building.
Earlier, utility trailers were put together at home using whatever parts you could find to hold the thing together. The brothers wanted to create something that was made of superior materials and craftsmanship. Their first attempt produced a single-axle trailer that could easily fit in 60 bales of cotton. Since then, Utility Trailer became America’s first manufacturer to produce trailers made of completely new materials. Now they have some of the biggest names in business relying on their trailers to haul their cargo all over America.
Advantages of Utility Trailers
The reason why the Bennett brothers succeeded in establishing their business was by giving their customers quality. When commercial trailers were made of sub-par materials, they would break down and need repairs constantly. This meant that businesses were spending a great deal of money on fixing these repetitive problems. Utility trailers were built to last; with one of these, you could haul cargo for years without running into any big problem.
Today the company is known for its lightweight yet durable trailers. With their innovations, they have made Utility semi-trailers and commercial trailers that not only last longer, but also bring great convenience to any operation. The Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company is also taking strides towards a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly approach to trailer building and usage.
